Chamomile and Cashmere

“I’m just here to see the bunnies,” says the gentleman as he passes the counter, coffee in hand, on a brisk walk to other side of the store.  He’s on a mission. It’s his third visit this week. He was here four times last week and twice the week before when he discovered the bunnies while shopping for a birthday card.  He now strolls through every time he visits The Flat Rock Bakery for his morning coffee. It makes me smile.

For almost 20 years we’ve had Holland Lop Ear bunnies living in The Wrinkled Egg. People often ask, “Why?” That’s easy, it’s for moments like this. An animal lover myself, I seem to accumulate animals of all kinds.  I love seeing others finding joy in them as well.

At home, I have miniature horses, goats and dogs. Greeting animals is a great way to start and end my day.
